There were many thank you notes we had to write but yours was by far one of the hardest. We were both completely lost for words. I hired Alfonse as my photographer at my wedding in June of '06. My wife and I hired Alfonse for our wedding in September of 2001. We were looking for a professional photographer, not just a typical wedding photographer. His work is absolutely awesome! He was able to capture moments on film that me and my wife were not able to see during our own wedding. He had taken over 1200 pictures that day for us, which was before the age of the digital camera. What is remarkable is that he managed to take all of these shots without ever really being noticed during the wedding. We never grow tired off looking through all of those shots. The moments of excitement and the expressions on peoples’ faces that he caught on film that night, tell a story that my wife and I are proud to be a part of. I compulsively met with and interviewed over 7 wedding photographers before I met Alfonse. None of them had the flair, talent, personality or passion like Alfonse... and that's why I ultimately chose him to document such an important day in my life. Things nowadays are changing... every industry seems to be affected by the "insta"technology that exists and is available to every numskull on the planet. Not to mention everyone's 15 minutes of fame on reality shows, etc... its sad in some ways and fascinating to see a human, social experiment unfold. But talent is talent and Alfonse has it. You have to hope that the people with it are the ones that persevere, right??
